Concern in QPR

Hello,

1) Is it possible to do massive loading of docs files to Process Designer QPR application?,2) What would be maximun capacity in terms of bytes of docs files that could be loaded to QPR Process Designer application?

Thank you very much!

Hey Jonathan,

1) Is it possible to do massive loading of docs files to Process Guide QPR application?
Yes, this should be possible with  custom scripts. QPR Partner manager can be contacted for getting consultancy for this.

2) What would be maximun capacity in terms of bytes of docs files that could be loaded to QPR PG application?
There is not such capacity limit but if documents will be added as embedded, the size of database and models grow and performance can get worse at some point.
Disk space is the only limit .

Loading docs might not be the best alternative. I would suggest linking to documents in their original place (e.g. a document management system). This way the QPR ProcessDesigner model size (and database) doesn't get too big, the file is always up-to-date (what happens if you update a file in the original place that you've uploaded to QPR ProcessDesigner..?) and the system holding the document takes care of any accessibility rights.

Exactly. Using linked information items can do this and files are not being added as embedded in to QPR models/database.  The latest QPR Suite versions have more features for integrating with intranet/document management systems. For example CMIS.

Usually it is good idea to discuss with QPR Partner Manager if a consultant is needed for finding the best solution.
