What is QPR Community?

QPR Community is a meeting and collaboration place for all who are interested in QPR. At its best it provides the power of crowd sourcing to help you in your need.

As concept QPR Community can be seen as big container of information in various forms, like postings, documents, videos, webinar recordings etc.

Our basic use case is somebody in a need of information. The person comes to QPR Community and makes a search. If he or she does not find what is looking for, the person posts a question in one of our forums, and the community provides the answer.

The default site language is English. Communication is not restricted only to it, but we cannot guarantee that you get an answer to questions made in any other languages than English, Finnish, Russian or Spanish - the languages we speak ourself. 

QPR Community has a public front-end where you can see public resources and content (like this posting). Posting in forums or downloading any content, however, requires you to register as a member.

The Basic membership is open to everybody interested in QPR. We have also membership levels to our Maintenance and Support Customers and Value-Added Resellers. They are subject to community admin approval. QPR Community is responsive to your membership status and shows you only things you can access.

Please notice that when you register as a new member, you will receive immediately (only) the download resources right. Posting (right to write on the discussion forums) is possible after the Admin clearance.This we promise in 24 hours during the business days.

  • Can I get email alerts on comments to discussions I have started?

    Yes you can. Go to your account settings (“My Account”). Navigate through My account --> Edit --> Account settings ribbon page and then tick the "Receive email when someone comments on my forum topics." option at the bottom of the page. Remember to Save the 

  • Can I post questions in any other languages than English?

    You can, but we cannot guarantee that you get an answer to questions made in any other languages than English, Finnish, Russian or Spanish. These are the languages we speak ourself.

  • Do I need to know my QPR customer number etc. for the registration?

    No, you do not.

  • How to use QPR Community search?

    QPR Community Search is a so called Faceted search, also called faceted navigation or faceted browsing. It is a technique for accessing information organized according to a faceted classification system, allowing users to explore a collection of information by applying multiple filters. A faceted classification system classifies each information element along multiple explicit dimensions, enabling the classifications to be accessed and ordered in multiple ways rather than in a single, pre-determined, taxonomic order

    You can start your search by writing your free format search term and in a moment the search will start to guide you by suggesting search terms included in QPR Community’s taxonomy library (see list at the end of this posting).

    The result is a page (or several) listing all content matching to your search.  You may continue the search by looking other content of the same document type. For example if your search result has been QPR EnterpriseArchitect Product Brochure, you can see what other Product Brochures there are by clicking the ”Product Brochure” link under the Document type headline on right.

    In addition to Product Brochure type content categories the search may also offer you the possibility to list content based on how they are created.

    Resources are typically documents (PDF or PPT). Pages are usually either landing pages with links or Consultancy best practices & other instructions with text and images. Forum topics are discussion forum postings

    To search group of words, place the entire string inside quotes, e.g. "QPR Partner Summit 2014"

  • Is there a section for Customer Care issue related FAQs

    All Customer Care related Frequently Asked Questions (or CC FAQs) are available in the QPR Products Discussion forum, and marked with a CC FAQ tag. You can list all CC FAQ topics by searching with the CC FAQ. Tagging issues as CC FAQs is managed by QPR Customer Care.

  • What information is needed for the registration?

    For a registration you need to provide all information marked with a red asterisk, but you can choose the level this information is shared with other community members. No QPR customer code etc. is needed.

    You must also accept the QPR Community guidelines and the QPR Community Privacy Policy and Legal Notice.

     

  • What is the relationship between QPR Customer Care and QPR Community?

    You should contact QPR Customer Care when you a have a technical issue related to QPR Products. QPR Community is for more generic questions like how to use the software.
     
  • What member category I should choose?

    Membership requires always a registration. This can be done on the home page, via the “Register” link.

    A basic level QPR Community Membership is available to all interested in QPR.

    If your organization has the QPR Maintenance and Support Agreement you are entitled to a “M&S Customer” level membership. You can apply it as you create your account while registering. This membership level is subject to Admin clearance. When this is done, you will be notified by an email.

    If your organization is QPR Value-Added-Reseller, you can apply Partner level memberships when you register. You can apply it as you create your account while registering. This membership level is subject to Admin clearance. When this is done, you will be notified by an email.

  • Who can join QPR Community?

    QPR Community is open to all interested in QPR.

    As a registered member you are able to participate in discussion, see resources and download them. The non-members can only screen the public sections of QPR Community.

  • Why can I not see any download link?

    Q: I want to download a resource, but I can see only the headline and abstract, but not any download link.

    A: In order to download any documents or other resources you need to be a registered QPR Community member and logged in the QPR Community.

  • Why my Skype-status is not shown correctly in my Account profile?

    When in Skype, please check, that your Online Status is set as you want  it to be (Skype --> Online Status).

    In addition, check that you have ticked  in the Skype Privacy settings  “Allow my online status to be shown on the web” (Skype --> Privacy settings). The default is as not ticked.
